Goals
Our goal is to help service providers exchange resources and ideas more freely. We approach that goal with the Southland Partnership Corporation’s (SPC) ability to create an open source community as our major focus. SPC provides a forum for participants to share real-time opportunities that help to create sustainable jobs for citizens, thereby enabling an enhanced purchasing power for the entire region.
SPC has chosen three primary objectives for fulfilling its mission. We believe that these activities will be of the greatest benefit to the community of southern California:
Consistency in Sharing Best Viable Practices
As a non-political online communications intermediary, SPC is backed exclusively by the participating service providers. This means that—ultimately—it is only as good as the information shared by participating public and private organizations. The infrastructure of the SPC is well respected, trusted and useful to the social service providers countywide.
Communication
Frequent and accurate communication is the key to SPC’s success. As a universal resource and marketing agency a great deal of dependency is pressed upon SPC’s continuous improvement processes. If SPC is to maintain a level of quality and viable resource for both current users and future adopters, we need to maintain, improve and enhance the integrity of the communication tools.
Promoting Opportunities
In the context of public misunderstandings, misinterpretations and misrepresentations, SPC needs to be clearer about its purpose and technology. Allowing the community to speak through a single source will enable SPC to improve its status as a universal resource center.
